Meet Buddy. Josh's boss gave him to us. The best part about Buddy besides him being so cute, if you take off his head he has yummy treats inside! He's so cute and I'm glad that I have him! Thanks Chris! Ok, just to warn everyone I'm going to do what other bloggers call a "picture overload" I believe its neccessary seeing how there was lots of things going on this year. Ready? These are by far my favorite pictures of Christmas. Taelor and Rex trying to open their presents. They look so ferocious! I love Rex's reaction when we tried to help him open his present.

Mom Gordon gets the Gordon girls a cookbook for Christmas and I love it! She must know that I can't bake at all. Cook? Yes but somehow I burn every kind of bake good there is. I'm pretty sure the hacking lady downstairs doesn't appreciate the smoke or the smoke alarms that go off every time I try to bake. Thanks Mom Gordon for not giving up on me..I thought I would have to resort to an easybake oven..Who knows what would have happened there. Thanks! I love it!

Its been a pretty hectic couple of months. With our sealing, Thanksgiving and school we've been over our heads busy! Now with school over, we have a couple of weeks to catch up with each other except that I am this: 
Yes, I've been a workaholic. Don't freak out on me, but I really love my job. I work for great people, I work with great people and I have a really flexible schedule. What more could a girl ask for? Anyway, I've been working on a pretty hefty project, don't judge me, but I love doing projects. I love that feeling when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. SUCCESS! Its been a most enjoyable one and even though I'm bummed that its almost done, I'm super happy to get in a couple more hours with my main squeeze.

Don't Judge Me
Yes, I am one of those crazy Christmas obsessed people that starts celebrating Christmas right after Halloween. Don't judge me! Its the only time of the year that I can bare listening to Delilah on 99.9 and its also the only time that my mom will make tamales willingly and last but certainly least is when Mama Gordon gets out ALL her Christmas decor and lets me help decorate (I've only done it once, but still I love all of the nifty stuff she has)! I love looking at what Josh and the Gordon kids made for her when they were kids!

Ok, so I made Meesa take down the super-obama picture... I guess not everyone thought it was funny or a joke or that it was making fun of him. So, let me explain our views to those that didn't understand her last blog.. Once again, we are not Obama fans. But, seeing how he is now our American President we have no choice but to hope for the best. We need to be loyal to our country and that means the president too. However, I will be the first to take a stand if he does something against my values or beliefs. Until that happens though, I will be a good American and support and pray for him like I have for all other presidents since I was young. Thats what the church tells us to do.. Support our civil leaders.. WWJD?
Emilee said it best when she quoted her friend "I hope he is the best president America has ever had. I hope I vote for him in 4 more years". (he was also against obama) That should be all of our attitudes. We should all hope he is a fantastic president. We can support him while still keeping a watchfull eye on him... JOSH
Our American President
I will be the first to admit that I was a Obama hater. I'm still not an Obama lover, but come on everyone...can't we just all get along? After hearing Obama was elected our new President, I was really peeved to say the least. I was at my sister's house and we were listening to Glenn Beck (love him!!) and Joe Shmoe called in and said how he didn't accept him as our American President and even though Glenn didn't want Obama for president either he said this to Joe:
"Well, Joe, then you're un-American because this is the way our system works.. Barack Obama won. He is now our President. We do not sacrifice our values. We are not required to now become a socialist. We're now not required to stand up and fight for the things that he believes in if we disagree, but we understand that he is the President of the United States.
So are you going to be a new kind of American that continues to separate us and continue to pull us apart?
Let's move off the conspiracy theories! Let's talk about the facts, and the facts are, Joe, that he is the American President and anyone who doesn't accept him as the President of the United States is pure and simple un-American. That does not mean that you accept everything he does. That does not mean that you sell out your values. That doesn't mean that you don't fight for the Constitution and fight for what you believe in, but he is the President of the United States and if you believe in this system, then you are required, you are required to accept him as the President of the United States, period, and you support him in every way possible because we -- a house divided will not stand."
Very profound..I don't want to be un-American, I am an American and I'm proud of it. Let's support and pray for our new American President. We don't have to agree with him and we don't have to be sell outs. Put away your pitch forks and your passports and your suitcases, pray for him and accept him, lets be Americans.

I'm not a pushy person (Josh would beg to differ) but we are a privileged people, my friend, and have the glorious opportunity to choose how and who is running our country. What are you waiting for? No one can make me laugh as hard as you. It was really fun hanging out with you and Roy last night. That's one of my favorites. We have so many memories...like the time we painted our hands and feet and painted all over that brick wall and then I stepped on a rock and cut my foot and we would always go back to find my blood mark or when I kept asking you if you had a best friend, because I secretly wanted to be yours but tried to be really casual and remember all the memories of Thatcher and the cousins. I miss them.... or how about when I wrote you all those notes in junior high. I know how much you love my artistic skills so I drew you a picture. I hope you don't mind I stole a picture from your blog. I really think I captured you really well, the shadowing over your lip was a little rough but overall I'm pretty sure I did you justice.

Chicago
Recently (ok like 2 and a half weeks ago), Josh had the opportunity to go to Chicago with our brother-in-law/his bff. My motto has always been "When you see an opportunity, take it!" Anyway our BIL (brother-in-law) had an interview for a pharmacy school in Chicago, my sister and their baby couldn't make it on the trip and Josh and I couldn't afford for us to both go....so, we paper, rocked, scissored for it and he won. Just kidding. Needless to say they had an enjoyable time. Chicago dogs, seeing my favorite Broadway Musical, the Sears Tower, deep dish pizzas, what more could you ask for? I sure missed him, something fierce, but I will have to admit..I like having the bed to myself.

I was talking to my sister on the phone today and I kept hearing her say things like: "Don't eat that, its a magnet" and "Don't touch that, its not sanitary." Confused, I asked her who she was talking to (being that her three kids ages 9, 10? and 13 were at school). She said "I'm babysitting a friend's kid" I asked "How old is she" Mica replies "She's 15 months" In our conversation I told her that she forgot how to correspond with wee ones. Now that she's pregnant, and the oh so wonderful sister that I am, I thought I would give her a little refresher. All for your Mica...take notes!
